Dr. Nithyanand

MS(ENT).,MCH HEAD & NECK SURGERY (ONCOLOGY).,

I am a consultant ENT and Head & Neck Onco-surgeon at KMCH Hospitals, Coimbatore. I have trained in all areas of ENT. After finishing my post-graduation, I worked in CMC Vellore, St.Johns Academy of Medical Sciences, Bangalore where I mainly focused on general and pediatric ENT. It was during this time that I developed a special interest in cancers of the head and neck and then went on to specialize in Head & Neck Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai

After completing my exhaustive training program, my professional focus shifted to managing patients with head and neck cancers. These cases range from small(early stages) uncomplicated cancers to locally advanced cancers and recurrent cases arising from the head and neck subsites such as mouth cancers, throat cancer, salivary glands, thyroid and parathyroid gland, and anterior skull base and paranasal sinus tumors. I also practice reconstructive surgery for head and neck cancers. I am focused on performing minimally invasive surgery like Transoral micro-laryngeal laser surgery for throat cancers. I am also invested in my patient’s journey to recovery and help speech, swallowing, and muscular rehabilitation post-surgery.

Although my super-specialization is head and neck oncology, I am interested in anterior skull base surgery and minimally invasive surgery. I also practice general ENT surgery which includes rhinology and voice surgery.
